CAMP CHAPARRAL:

Participants will be housed in cabins; men and women will have separate accommodations, with exceptions being made for married couples. You will need to bring a sleeping bag/pillow/extra blankets and if needed, a soft mattress pad. Camp Chaparral is rustic in setting in terms of location and amenities. As Camp Chaparral is on sacred and restricted grounds of the Yakamas NO ALCOHOL OR ILLICT DRUGS CAN BE ALLOWED (including medicinal or legal WA state marijuana). Violations of this policy will most like end w/ the individual(s) being escorted from camp immediately. If you have a significant dietary restrictions (allergies {gluten, nuts, etc}, vegetarian/vegan, etc.) please let us know as soon as possible, so we can work to accommodate your needs. As space permits in your packing, feel free to bring any favorite snacks or beverages as there are no opportunities to buy them during the week.

OTHER PERSONAL ESSENTIALS:

· Please be sure to take special care and responsibility to plan for at least one week’s worth of your personal medication. This includes medications such as insulin, rescue inhalers, epinephrine pins, nitroglycerin etc.

· Insect Repellent, please note cologne and perfume tend to attracts bees.

· Flashlight

· Camera/Camcorder (you will be made aware of what should and what should not be recorded)

· Personal Hygiene items (soap, shampoo, toothpaste, towels/washcloths, etc. Laundry facilities are available for participants)

· One week’s worth of camping style clothes, both warm and cool, and footwear as days could be in the 80’s but nights can dip into the low 40’s. If you are brave enough you may bring a swimsuit. There will be opportunities to swim but the water is COLD.
